As much as composing and conducting existing choral music is his passion, Edward also spends time creating new editions of choral works that are in danger of being 'lost' from todays repertoire. He is also concerned with ensuring that the choral music of composers from Wales - as well as Welsh language choral music - is preserved for generations to come.

Emmanuel - An Oratorio by Dr Joseph Parry

Edward has recently completed a new edition (in both Welsh and English languages) of this oratorio by Joseph Parry, for mixed choir, organ and small chamber ensemble. It was 're-premiered' by Cor Bro Ogwr, one of Wales' largest mixed choirs, at All Saints Church Porthcawl on December 17th 2011.

'Bethlehem' - an oratorio by J H Maunder : New Orchestration for Chamber Ensemble

Edward has recently completed a new orchestration of the score of this short oratorio for mixed choir and soloists by JH Maunder. The score was originally written and published for SATB choir and organ accompaniment. It is hoped this fresh orchestration will make the oratorio even more appealing, thus propelling it back into mainstream choral repertoire. This new edition was performed by The Athenaeum Singers in Warminster on December 3rd 2011.
